Field study findings – Reading time: 12 minutes (in French)
Since the Israeli military’s war against the Gaza Strip, both the phenomenon of Christian Zionism and the lesser-known concept of Palestinian liberation theology have attracted the attention of independent media. Whilst these are generally discussed in the regions where they originated and exert influence—the United States and Palestine-Israel—what is their dynamic in the neighbouring country across the Jordan River, which is largely populated by Palestinians? This article, published on the Yaani media platform, presents some data collected during the ethnographic research I conducted in Jordan in the spring of 2025 as part of a Master’s degree in Sociology of Religions.
